5 Fun Workouts your Brain will Love

We all know the importance of physical exercise and the benefits it has on our bodies.

But did you know it is just as important to exercise our brain.

Brain Training can help improve our memory and reduce the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Training your brain will also help improve your attention span – a skill that we can all benefit from, particularly when the affects of technology have reduced our attention span significantly.

Another plus to brain training is that it can increase your reaction time and improve your mental agility – ie: your ability to think critically and problem solve efficiently.

So, how do we make our brains stronger than yesterday?

One of the easiest ways to do this is through brain training games.

There are plenty of games to help give your brain a good workout. Below are some of our favourites:

  • 1. Wordle

Wordle is a web-based word game published daily in The New York Times.

The object of the game is to guess the 5-letter word in 6 attempts.

After each guess, the colour of the tiles will change to show how close your guess is to the word.

    Cost: Free

What we love about this game: Wordle challenges you daily with a new word to guess.

Sometimes they are easy and sometimes they are a real challenge.

And sometimes you have the privilege of learning a whole new word and discovering its meaning.
